About the Art: Woke up one morning with a spring in my step, the sun was shining, the coffee was good and so I decided I’m moving on outside. Took my easel and paints outside and had it. Painting until my heart was content. I often listen to punk pop music when I paint and this day was one of those - Good Charlotte on repeat but what was different was this ‘song’ that came on, I hadn’t heard it before but it stopped me in my tracks. “Check in at Motel Du Cap”. The words resonated deeply.
“If you ask me, your time is best spent being you
Your life, for better or for worse, is carved out by you
And ain't none of us ever gonna see anything exactly the same
We're all just standing in different corners of their own
So don't let that worry you none, just take it day by day
Now y'all just come on in and start dreamin”
